Alexander Associates are proud to be partnering with a trailblazing organisation at the forefront of the space sector, driving innovation and redefining what's possible beyond Earth’s atmosphere.As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a Technical Author to play a pivotal role in communicating complex technical processes and cutting-edge technologies to both internal teams and external stakeholders.Key responsibilities and tasks for the Technical Author:
  • Create technical user manuals, data sheets, and reports.
  • Assist and play a crucial role in writing grant proposals.
  • Interpret complex technical product information and re-write this to ensure it is appropriate for all end users
  • Manage the timeline for delivering content within project deadlines
  • Adhere to the system engineering method for projects, overseeing gate document management.
  • Mentor other staff members to improve document standards
Preferred experience and skills for the Technical Author:
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related field (Aerospace / Mechanical etc)
  • Experience of technical writing for an engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of system engineering document processes
  • Knowledge of basic engineering documentation standards
  • Ability to perform gap analyses on existing project documentation to develop our systems further
  • Must possess the ability to establish goals, prioritise multiple objectives with different deadlines, and autonomously oversee documentation within project frameworks.
