If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent full-time Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Occupational Therapy team for the Older Peoples Mental Health wards based at the Royal Edinburgh Building. The post will be providing clinical input into assessment wards for older people with mental health conditions and dementia and will also take referrals from other wards as required.You would be expected to have an interest in working in this speciality as well as experience relevant to the role. We are looking for someone who is able to clearly articulate the contribution OT can make to this client group and has experience of implementing interventions to optimise occupational performance. You will have a strong understanding of the role of occupation as well as being able to working collaboratively with other members of the team and wider agencies.
