At The University Health Centre we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care, we have approximately 15,000 patients.We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our forward thinking team. The post holder will be required to have the ability to manage their own workload, be responsible for a mixture of clinical and non-clinical duties and be willing to undertake additional training as appropriate.We are a large mainly student based practice and have a variety of staff including GP's, ANP's, Nurses, Physio's & Pharmacists.We are also a training practice for GP registrars and medical students.We are part of the Tolson Primary Care Network and we work together to provide a full range of enhanced services.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be required to assist in and perform routine tasks, such tasks may include:ImmunisationsCytologyTravel ClinicAsthmaDiabetic checksContraceptionPathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs.as well as being familiar with the day to day workload within a general practice setting.About usOperating from a modern purpose built site in Huddersfield, we have the capacity to offer a wide range of services alongside other NHS services providers, including; on the day consultations, telephone and face to face consultations; social prescribing; advanced nurse practitioners; clinical pharmacist to name but a few!We have a list size of approximately 15,000 patients and use Emis Web, Ardens ,AccuRX and E-consult.This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to join a forward-thinking practice that embraces innovation to ensure we provide the best care to our patients.
