As a Lead Design Engineer, you will be at the forefront of technical management for customer orders within a project team. Your ability to communicate effectively with both clients and internal stakeholders will be essential in delivering economical and timely solutions.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee technical management of projects to meet client expectations and internal procedures.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for project teams.
- Participate in tender-to-project handover meetings and lead project kick-offs and reviews.
- Conduct site surveys, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- optimise project budgets by utilising standard parts and designs.
- Lead design review meetings, ensuring thorough communication of technical information.
- Produce various technical drawings including circuit diagrams, cable schedules, and interface drawings.
- Interface with the Factory for manufacturing and testing queries.
- Support the Tendering team with technical advice for client inquiries.
Essential:
- HNC level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Proven experience in technical project management.
- Proficiency in producing electrical drawings.
- Exceptional communication and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and stakeholder management.
- HND level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Experience in manufacturing/utilities environments.
- Factory acceptance testing experience.
- Commercial experience.
