Probing the structure and composition of matter, our work drives innovation in everything from vaccines to nanotech.About the RoleWe now have an opportunity for a Monitoring & Evaluation Manager to contribute to the development and implementation of the monitoring & evaluation strategy, providing support to maximise and demonstrate the value of the Diamond-II upgrade programme.As a Monitoring & Evaluation Manager you will:
  • Work closely with the Head of Communications, Engagement and Impact to develop and enable programmes focussed on delivering the strategic objectives for impact measurement.
  • Contribute substantially to the identification, maximisation and demonstration of evidence of the economic, social and cultural impact of Diamond’s research, especially in relation of the Diamond-II upgrade working in close collaboration with colleagues across the organisation ensuring relevant dissemination and review / creating of all relevant documents and templates.
  • Take a lead role in the ongoing development and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation activity plan, facilitating the identification, collection and recording of the impact of current and planned activities as part of Diamond-II.
  • Prepare the internal and external research assessment submissions as required.
  • Ensure that the impact of Diamond’s research is communicated and highly visible both internally and externally; ensuring that Diamond profile is raised where appropriate with the media.
About YouIdeally you would hold a degree level qualification or equivalent but not essential.You will have experience in the following areas:
  • Designing and implementing Monitoring & Evaluation plans and frameworks for projects or programs
  • Knowledge of theories of change, performance measurement frameworks and other Monitoring & Evaluation approaches
  • Building effective relationships, influencing and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organising and coordinating events / meetings.
