Food Technician – DartfordWe are on the hunt for a proactive and detail-oriented FoodTechnician to join a thriving secondary school in Dartford. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about food education and keen to support practical learning in a dynamic classroom environment. As a Food Technician, you’ll be the backbone of the Food Technology department, ensuring lessons run smoothly, resources are well-prepared, and students are inspired to explore the world of culinary creativity.Contract: Full time – September startSalary: £95 – £105 per dayKey Responsibilities
  • Prepare ingredients, equipment, and materials for practical food lessons
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in food preparation areas
  • Support students during practical sessions, ensuring safety and engagement
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders for food and equipment
  • Assist with displays and resources to enhance the learning environment
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support curriculum delivery
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience in a school or food preparation environment preferred
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A genuine interest in food education and student development
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
