
Electrical Technician

- Carrying out scheduled, planned and reactive maintenance work on a variety of wastewater residential assets and industrial electrical machinery in compliance with company procedures to minimise plant breakdowns.
- Where required, communicating with the customer in a professional manner and throughout the process, whilst meeting their expectations, at all times.
- You will investigate plant failures and carry out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to avoid interruptions to the process. This may involve investigating and diagnosing complex faults and carrying out repairs during incidents.
- You will be expected to provide technical advice, refer to up-to-date technical knowledge, and provide training or support for technical trainees if required.
- Examples of equipment that you will be working on will be various pumps and associated control gear, 3-phase motors, starters and controls, electronic control systems such as VSDs, automatic valves and penstocks, flow, level and pressure measurement, programmable logic controllers, variable speed drives and controls, and chemical handling and dosing equipment.
- 18th Edition preferred, but training can be given.
- A problem solver, able to identify potential issues and implement solutions, or escalate if required.
- An excellent communicator, providing technical expertise to Internal and External staff and contractors.
- Resilient, adapting to the pressures of work and working in a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, under own initiative to design and standards.
- Knowledge and awareness of Health and Safety issues relevant to the industry.
- Team player who can work in many different teams, showing respect for others, providing helpful feedback and supporting the development of others.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Potential overall package earnings of base up to £42,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
- Standby rota payments & Overtime opportunities can increase this earning potential by up to a further £8,000 - £10,000 per annum upon completion of essential company training.
