Job Description:As a Senior Engineer specializing in Data Center, Routing, Switching, and WAN technologies, with expertise in Cisco and Arista routing and switching solutions, your role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on data center design, ensuring high performance, redundancy, and security while also managing WAN connectivity. Here's a detailed overview of the key responsibilities and requirements for this role:Responsibilities:Data Center Design: Architect and design data center network solutions with a focus on routing and switching, ensuring that they meet the business requirements for performance, redundancy, and scalability.Cisco and Arista Expertise: Utilize your deep knowledge of Cisco and Arista networking solutions to configure, implement, and optimize routers and switches within the data center.WAN Connectivity: Design, deploy, and manage wide area network (WAN) solutions, including technologies such as MPLS, SD-WAN, VPNs, and remote connectivity to enable efficient data exchange between data centers and external locations.Routing and Switching Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the network for low latency, high throughput, and reliability, addressing bottlenecks and performance issues proactively.Security Implementation: Collaborate with security teams to implement robust security measures within the data center, including firewall policies, access control, and network segmentation.Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and change records, to ensure proper record-keeping and knowledge sharing.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, network engineers, and security professionals, to align network infrastructure with broader IT goals.
