An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Autism Specialist Assistant to join a specialist school in Bath this April 2025. The school provides a supportive environment for students aged 5-18 with ASD and learning difficulties. In this role, you will work 1-1 with students, helping them build independence, stay focused, practice self-regulation, and support their educational and emotional needs to help them reach their full potential.Key Responsibilities of the Autism Specialist Assistant:
- Provide 1-1 support for students with ASD and learning difficulties in Bath.
- Encourage students to stay focused, develop independence, and build confidence.
- Support emotional and social development through self-regulation strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers to create personalised learning strategies for students.
- Foster a positive learning environment in a specialist setting.
- Help students achieve their potential by working closely with staff and professionals.
- A passion for supporting students with ASD and learning difficulties.
- Prior experience in a similar setting is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children in an education and training setting.
