Contract Type: Day-to-dayAre you confident in the classroom and ready to inspire the next generation?GSL Education are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant secondary school in Royston on a day-to-day basis. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about education and want to support students’ learning in the absence of their regular teachers.Responsibilities of a CS:
  • Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring students complete the work set.
  • Promote a calm, focused, and positive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Provide support and guidance to students where required.
  • Report back to teaching staff on student progress, behaviour, and engagement.
To be successful as a Cover Supervisor, you should:
  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and professional in varying situations.
  • A positive and proactive approach to supporting students’ learning.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
