We're working with a respected private provider who’s seeking an experienced Recovery Worker to join their dedicated drug and alcohol service across Ashford, Canterbury, and Dover. This is a fixed-term contract with the potential to go permanent, offering a meaningful opportunity to support service users through recovery and transformation.Role: Recovery Worker – Drug & Alcohol Service
Location: Ashford, Canterbury & Dover
Contract Type: Fixed-term (with option to go permanent)
Client Type: Private
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Start Date: ASAPWhat You’ll Be Doing:Supporting individuals in the community through their drug and alcohol recovery journeyConducting 1:1 and group interventions to promote engagement and harm reductionCollaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external servicesMaintaining accurate records and risk assessmentsContributing to care planning and ongoing recovery strategiesRequirements:Experience working within substance misuse, recovery, or mental health servicesStrong communication and engagement skillsAbility to manage a caseload and work independentlyEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred (due to multi-site work)If this sounds like the right fit for you, send your latest CV to jdavies@hg-mh.com and we’ll be in touch to discuss further.Not quite for you?
