Shift EngineerSalary: £45,000 - £49,000
Location: Leighton Buzzard
Shift Pattern: 6am-2pm & 2pm -10pm (2 shift patterns)We’re looking for a skilled and safety-focused Maintenance Engineer to support our high-performance manufacturing site.You’ll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting advanced machinery—especially injection moulding and automated assembly lines—to keep production running at peak efficiency.Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to maximise machine uptime (OEE).
  • Fault-find on PLCs, drive systems, and other electrical/mechanical components.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety and OHSE standards; complete risk assessments.
  • Support and drive quality, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operations and provide clear feedback on maintenance work.
  • Use CMMS to log and track maintenance activity.
What You’ll Bring
  • Time-served Industrial Electrician with ONC or equivalent qualification.
  • Hands-on experience in a fast-paced industrial or FMCG environment.
  • Strong knowledge of injection moulding machines (essential).
  • Good understanding of PLCs, drives, and maintenance systems.
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
