Graduate Methods EngineerPermanent StaffKingston upon Thames, Surrey – 3 days per week in the office, 2 days per week working from homeOil & Gas/ Offshore Wind sectorSeptember 2024 startAre you degree qualified/ in the process of obtaining your degree and looking for an opportunity to work in the Energy sector?A number of Graduate Methods Engineers are required to work on a permanent staff basis based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey that will require 3 days per week in the office and allow 2 days per week working from home.Successful candidates will ideally be qualifying this year and will hold a Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • As the Graduate Methods Engineer, you will be a high calibre graduate possibly with some work experience in either the offshore / civil / structural / naval industries to work as Trainee Installation Engineers in the offshore sector.
  • As the Graduate Methods Engineer, you will need to have a Civil, Structural or Naval degree in order to be considered for this position.
  • As the Graduate Methods Engineer, you will join a bespoke training scheme for Offshore Installation Engineers that includes office, site and offshore installation training and experience on-board a variety of key offshore construction vessels.
  • You will be encouraged and supported to achieve Chartered Engineer status.
We require candidates for this course, which will take circa Nine months to complete whereby the candidates will be ready to fulfil the Installation Engineer role described below. The course is due to begin in September this year.As an Offshore Methods Engineer you will:
  • Provide installation support and engineering design services in the office for projects being executed within the company
  • As the Graduate Methods Engineer, you will provide on-site Installation engineering support and be our representative for installation preparations on site for the relevant projects.
  • Support the offshore execution phase of installation projects.
  • As the Graduate Methods Engineer, you will assist in the development of procedures, bids and studies for installation work within the company
Candidates should have:
  • An interest in a mix of office, site and offshore work locations
  • As the Graduate Methods Engineer, you will have an understanding of engineering projects.
  • Good communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to travel.
  • An understanding of Offshore Oil and Gas projects is an advantage.
