
Interim Fire Safety Business Partner

You’ll take ownership of a regional patch, supporting the delivery of fire safety across 11m–18m buildings. This is a delivery-focused surveying role, not compliance management. You’ll attend site inspections, liaise with contractors, respond to technical queries, and ensure that works completed meet the required standard.
The successful candidate will support ongoing inspection programmes, including:
- Fire door inspections
- Compartmentation reviews
- FRA action verification
- Design input on fire signage schemes and minor works
- Social housing experience in a fire safety role
- Experience with site-based fire auditing and inspections
- Able to interpret fire safety standards and translate into action
- Level 4 fire safety qualification (Level 3 with strong experience considered)
- Membership of IFE (Graduate or higher preferred)
- Calm, pragmatic approach with the ability to liaise across technical and non-technical team
- Fully remote working with site visits required (patches in Midlands, North, and South)
- Typically 50/50 split between site and home
- Mileage and expenses covered at HMRC rates
- Flexible hours (37.5 hrs/week within 8am–6pm window)
