Operations Technician

• Operating the plant via a Distributed Control System (DCS) to ensure optimal performance
• Supporting safe daily operations and coordinating activities across maintenance and operational teams
• Managing and ensuring compliance with site health, safety, and environmental policies
• Administering safe systems of work and supporting permit-to-work processes
• Monitoring plant conditions and responding to alarms and system changes
• Conducting operational checks, site inspections, and contributing to continuous improvement activities
• Assisting in plant start-ups, shutdowns, and emergency response
• Acting as a Fire Marshal and First Aider where required
• Supporting contractors and facilitating coordination with cleaning and I/O teams
• Other duties as required

• Experience in a similar role within Power Generation, Energy from Waste, or heavy process industries (e.g. Refinery, Cement, Paper, etc.)
• Familiarity with DCS operations and safe systems of work
• Strong understanding of plant processes, health & safety regulations, and environmental compliance
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
