The ideal candidate will have proven experience of end-to-end implementations with at least two of the following technologies: Oracle, Tagetik or OneStream.You will be part of a growing and diverse team that combines business implementation, systems integration, and financial modelling capabilities, working across the entire UK&I region especially in the Financial Services market. You will gain experience working across the spectrum of Finance Transformation and be part of us taking our business to the next level, embracing exciting advances in technology and data to solve our clients' business challenges.The OpportunityThe Finance Business Consulting team is looking for a Senior Manager level consultant with a strong delivery track record in EPM Consolidation implementations who can leverage business and technology-based solutions to deliver outcomes for our clients. We are looking for an experienced individual with both a technical and functional background, highly motivated, professional, and passionate about what they do, and who will further add to the continued success of our team.Prior consulting experience is a preferred requirement for delivering on Finance Transformation programs in the UK&I region. An understanding of Financial Services Organization's Target Operating Model, Process & Controls, Organization Design, Change Management, and Business Readiness would be really appreciated too.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Manager, you will work alongside the senior client management team in leading large-scale EPM implementations in the Consolidation space. You will be a trusted business advisor to our clients with a strong Finance technology systems implementation and functional process background. You will also support business and practice development of our Finance Business Consulting team.Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Managing the functional and technical delivery aspects of large and complex end-to-end EPM Consolidation implementation projects across the solution development lifecycle of the engagement, including:
  • Managing the translation of clients' technical and accounting requirements to functional and technical solution design.
  • Leading the application configuration in Oracle, OneStream, or Tagetik.
  • Validating the documentation of the solution's test strategy and overseeing the drafting of test scenarios and technical testing scripts.
  • Leading end-user training and facilitate the knowledge transfer of the solution to technical client teams.
  • Leading the deployment of the solution to production and providing post-go-live support.
  • Managing onshore and offshore technical delivery teams, including reviewing/challenging outputs produced by team members and providing guidance to all team members.
Skills and Attributes for SuccessThe ideal candidates will possess knowledge of Finance Transformation with proven prior experience in a technical configuration role at a senior manager level with EPM Consolidation implementations and a deep knowledge of the consolidation function and all its processes.They must have excellent communication skills, a high level of commitment, the ability to handle pressure, and demonstrate leadership and problem-solving abilities in complex financial environments. Additionally, familiarity with Finance Technology applications, a commitment to quality delivery, and proficiency in managing senior stakeholder relationships effectively.To Qualify for the Role You Must Have Some or All of the Following:
  • Experience of multi end-to-end implementations using at least 2 at least two of the following technologies: Oracle, Tagetik or OneStream.
  • Expertise with the technical design and solution configuration on large-scale EPM Consolidation implementations, especially within the Financial Services sector.
  • Proven expertise in validating functional and technical designs against business requirements and providing challenges where relevant.
  • Significant exposure to Financial Consolidation processes, Chart of Accounts & Data Model Design.
  • Prior team management experience of onshore and offshore team members.
  • Strong ability to lead the definition and resolution of key financial consolidation-specific design decisions.
  • Proven experience with developing and monitoring project plans, producing weekly status reports, and communicating progress to senior engagement leadership from EY and client teams.
  • Prior consulting experience.
  • Exposure to the EPM lifecycle, including planning, budgeting and forecasting, enterprise-wide KPI & reporting framework, profitability/cost analysis, and experience with other EPM technologies would be desirable.
