CLASS 2 DRIVERSMONDAY - FRIDAY: 06:00 STARTS£14.50 - £15.50 PER HOURPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Glasgow, North Lanarkshire.This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.What are the benefits?As a Class 2 Driver you will receive the following benefits:

Day to Day DutiesYour duties as a Class 2 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
  • SOME HANDBALL REQUIRED
  • Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
  • Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
Essential SkillsAs a Class 2 Driver you will need to:
  • Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
  • Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
  • Be responsible for the delivery of kitchen and bedroom products to customers homes: you will have a Driver’s Mate to assist
  • Load and unload vehicle with the assistance of a Driver's Mate
  • Conduct pre & post journey checks
  • Ensure timely delivery to customers
  • Follow assigned delivery routes while adhering to time schedules
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
  • Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
  • Experience delivering large or bulky goods would be beneficial
  • Good customer service skills as this is a customer facing role
  • Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
Training
  • Industry related training and support provided throughout
