Start Date: ASAPAbout the Role:We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming primary school in Telford. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young learners at a key stage in their early education and play a vital role in helping them thrive academically and socially.As a Year 1 TA, you’ll work alongside a supportive class teacher to deliver engaging lessons, encourage pupil progress, and help create a nurturing learning environment.Main Duties:Support the classroom teacher in planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons and activitiesAssist children with their academic, emotional, and social developmentPromote a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valuedPrepare and organise classroom resources and learning materialsHelp supervise students during break times and educational tripsMonitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to the teacherBuild strong relationships with parents, staff, and studentsUphold the school’s policies, safeguarding standards, and valuesWhat We’re Looking For:Previous experience working in an educational setting, ideally with Year 1 pupilsA passion for supporting young children and encouraging their developmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsEmpathy, patience, and a nurturing approach to working with childrenAbility to adapt and respond to the individual needs of pupilsUnderstanding of basic child development and early learning strategiesRelevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable, though not essentialWhy Join Us?
