This is an exciting chance to become a vital part of a forward-thinking department, working with students who are eager to design, create, and innovate.The Opportunity: What You'll Be Doing
  • Delivering Engaging Content: You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, engaging D&T lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE), following the UK curriculum.
  • Fostering Creativity and Practical Skills: Guide students in developing their design, making, and critical evaluation skills across various materials and disciplines.
  • Collaborating with Your Team: Work closely with a skilled and supportive team of professionals, sharing best practices and contributing to the success of the department.
  • Full Teaching Responsibilities: Your role will include lesson planning, marking, student assessment, and maintaining a positive and safe workshop environment.
  • Upholding School Standards: Adhere to all school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and student welfare.
The Ideal Candidate: Who We're Looking For
  • You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Design and Technology or a related field.
  • You have proven experience teaching the D&T UK curriculum at the secondary level.
  • You possess excellent classroom and workshop management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • You are adaptable, reliable, and have strong communication skills.
  • You have a passion for design and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
