This is a split role where your time will be divided between Driving duties - Delivering our high-quality products to customer premises in a professional and timely manner and Branch Support - Assisting with yard operations, including loading, and unloading vehicles, and supporting day-to-day branch activitiesTherefore, this role requires ultimate flexibility as we need to be agile enough to meet the demands of our customers.   • Delivering a wide range of high-quality Civils and Drainage products to customers in Colchester and the surrounding areas. In this role, you will be expected to
  • Ensure efficient & safe operation of the vehicle
  • Strive to complete on time delivery of orders to JDP customers
  • Comply with all vehicle and drivers' legislation
  • Providing customers with product and service information
  • Pick customer orders accurately
  • Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck
  • Process orders accurately, within a time dictated by the customer deadline
  • Serve customers on the trade counter when required
  • Customer interaction
QualificationsEssential:
  • Class C Licence
  • Some Driver CPC training
  • Digital driving licence (tacho card)
  • An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment
  • Detailed understanding of driver procedures “driving hours rules & regulations”
  • Experience in efficient route planning
  • Excellent communication and customer service
Required:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Literacy & Numeracy
Desirable:
  • Warehouse/yard experience
  • A good knowledge of computers
  • Forklift truck licence
