SEN Teaching Assistant – Didsbury (M20)Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)?Do you have experience working in education or care settings?If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!Teaching Personnel are an established education agency seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work across a SEN secondary school in the Didsbury area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with PMLD in their academic, social, and personal development.Salary: £83.85+ per day (dependent on experience)Responsibilities:
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils with PMLD
  • Assisting with classroom activities and promoting an inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting the teacher in implementing Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Encouraging social interaction and building positive relationships with students
  • Assisting with personal care and medical requirements as necessary
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a care-related role is preferred
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learning needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential
