- Hours: Part time, 2 or 3 days per week
- Weekends: 1 in 5 weekends, 2 or 3 extra Saturday mornings per year

- Team: 6 vets and 8 nurses
- The role involves managing own cases, clinical work, leading Vet meetings, developing the team and working as the line manager within the vet team.
- The position is a 12 month fixed term contract covering a maternity leave.
- Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
- The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
- The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.
- Established practice
- The practice is fully equipped offering a wide range of diagnostics and veterinary services including an in house lab, ultrasound, ECG, K-Laser, dental and digital x-ray and endoscope.
- They are surrounded by the country and located within a small market city.
- They offer cardiology clinics for a visiting specialist and they also offer orthopaedic surgeries which are performed again by a visiting specialist.
- They have a great local reputation and pride themselves on the communication in terms of client care that they provide.
- They have a team of 6 Vets, 8 Nurses, 2 SVNs.
- They provide a support work environment.
- The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.
- They offer a supportive and collaborative approach to cases.
- They have Vets currently working towards certificates and the practice support studies for additional qualifications.
- They have a supportive and positive culture and no blame culture.
- The team work together to support one another and enable each other to achieve goals and continue to develop their clinical skills and knowledge.
- The practice enjoy supporting the community and regular attend local events.
- They understand the difficulties that the vet industry can face, and they ensure that each member of staff support each other and strive each day to provide a positive and encouraging work environment.
- They are looking for a confident Vet and someone who is capable of assisting other colleagues in the development of their clinical skills.
- They will be calm under pressure and have the confidence to lead a team.
- The Vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships.
- The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills.
- The Vet will be able to organise their own time well and remain calm under pressure.
- The Vet will require a full UK driving license as there is branch work required.
- The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care and always willing to go that extra mile for patients.
- Salary: Up to £63,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
- Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with service and birthday off
- CPD: Generous allowance of £1,250 with 40 hours to attend
