The school caters to children aged 3-11 with Severe Learning Disabilities (SLDs) and Autism and is committed to delivering high-quality education that helps every child thrive.As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with pupils, teachers, and other professionals to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.Key information for a Teaching Assistant:
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours: Full-time, 08:30-15:00 (Term-time only)
  • Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)
  • Location: Trowbridge
What you'll be doing as a Teaching Assistant:
  • Providing tailored support in both one-to-one and small group settings
  • Supporting the development of communication and social skills
  • Encouraging independence and ensuring a safe, engaging learning space
  • Assisting with emotional regulation and managing challenging behaviour
  • Collaborating with teachers and parents to provide consistent, high-quality support
The role of Teaching Assistant is ideal for someone who:
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is calm, proactive, and well-organised
  • Holds a minimum Grade C / Level 4 in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Has previous experience working with children
