Type: PermanentOverview:An experienced Liability (Casualty) Claims Adjuster role within the London market, responsible for delivering a first?class claims service across a designated portfolio and helping to enhance a market?leading liability claims proposition. The position exists to support profitable growth by managing complex claims, strengthening client relationships, and collaborating closely with underwriting to deliver fair outcomes and commercial results.Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high?quality, timely claims service to brokers, insureds, and other stakeholders.
- Manage claims within a designated liability portfolio (including matters beyond personal authority via appropriate escalation/oversight).
- Own and develop nominated client relationships to support retention and profitable growth.
- Liaise with Underwriters to brief on individual claim developments and emerging trends.
- Make balanced, evidence?based decisions that ensure fair customer outcomes and commerciality.
- Work within delegated authority parameters and align to conduct and financial crime requirements.
- Maintain awareness of relevant regulations and market practices; operate in accordance with agreed behaviours and standards.
- Proven experience handling casualty/liability claims in the Lloyd's/London market (international exposure preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of ECF and London market processes.
- ACII (or active progression) or a law degree.
- In?depth understanding of the London market and comfort dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Clear, professional communication and excellent customer service skills.
- Analytical mindset with sound judgment; able to act decisively and take accountability.
- Team player with a positive, can?do attitude; adaptable and committed to continuous development.
- Understanding of risk appetite, delegated authority, conduct and financial crime considerations.
- Additional language skills (Spanish particularly useful).
- Experience managing client service for complex, international casualty programs.
