More emphasis on community-based care means there's never been a better time to join us.We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Clinical Nurse to join our caring and progressive team in Hastings.We're a close team but we're never exclusive, if you can bring a professional approach and fresh ideas we would love to hear from you.Main duties of the jobOur team delivers high quality evidence-based care to support people living with HIV.You will lead our enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated team to provide holistic care to people living with HIV in Hastings by providing support and adviceYou'll provide sound clinical judgement and leadership to support our team to safely deliver patient-centred care, and consistently monitor quality and progress in a challenging but rewarding environment.In partnership with members of the HIV Multidisciplinary team the post holder will develop, implement and evaluate a seamless specialist service, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of clinical care. As a Specialist Nurse the post holder will demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service, providing advice and advocacy, education and support to staff, patients their families and care providers.The ideal candidate will lead and act as a role model for the HIV Nurse Specialist Team in delivering a consistently high standard of nursing practice, and will be responsible for the day to day management of this team.The candidate will work autonomously and participate in the running of Nurse Led Clinics comprising of both face to face and virtual clinic appointments, ward rounds, patient reviews and multidisciplinary team meetingsAbout usRated 'outstanding' by the CQC, we've got a passion for delivering high standards of patient care and excellent services to improve the health of our communities.   • Health related degree and evidence of relevant post graduate development at Level 6
  • HIV qualification (ENB 934 or equivalent)
  • Documented competencies in assessment, diagnosis and care planning for HIV
  • Independent Nurse Prescriber (or willing to train)
Desirable
  • Management or supervisory qualification/ programme of study
  • MSc or Working towards Master level study
  • Clinical supervisor qualification
  • Membership to relevant national body Documented evidence of NHIVNA Level 2 competencies
ExperienceEssential
  • Experience in area of practice or infectious disease service or acute medical experience at band 6
  • Experience of leading and managing teams
  • Practical experience in managing health related projects/complex caseloads

  • HIV/AIDS experience in a hospital or community setting
