  • Plan and deliver individualised lessons tailored to EHCP targets.
  • Use creative and adaptive methods to engage learners with additional needs.
  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and SENCOs to ensure holistic support.
  • Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
  • Promote independence, life skills, and emotional development.
  • Contribute to the wider school ethos of care, inclusion, and celebration of diversity.

  • QTS (Qualified teaching status) is essential.
  • An up to date enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
  • Experience teaching pupils with special educational needs (ASD, SEMH, MLD, SLD etc.)
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
