Interviews: 1st October 2025What You Need to SucceedYou will oversee the daily cover in response to daily staff absence and manage the staff absence procedure, ensuring all absence is recorded, monitored, and reported. Following up absence calls daily and undertaking informal absence meetings and return to work interviews.Your effective communication and interpersonal skills are required to build effective working relationships with supply agencies, senior stakeholders and school staff alike.Managing the recruitment process you will have an eye for detail ensuring all aspects of safer recruitment are followed. Ensuring all staff undertake and complete their induction training and that the probations period is monitored effectively.You will have excellent IT skills with experience of working on Management information systems and databases such as Bromcom.Excellent literacy skills are essential. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative, be extremely well organised and must be able to maintain accurate records both electronically and in paper format.You will work term time plus inset days and 2 weeks during the summer holiday period.Working knowledge and understanding of employment law would be of benefit in this role.Further InformationPalatine School and West Sussex County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
