Contract: Locum, Full-Time (36 hours per week)
Start Date: ASAPBromley are looking for an experienced Senior Practitioner to join their Referral & Assessment team. This is a fast-paced frontline role, but you’ll be stepping into a service that’s stable, well-managed and properly resourced.Bromley have a clear structure in place, mileage paid for visits, and a focus on keeping workloads manageable — so you can actually do the job you trained for.What you’ll be doing:
- Responding to new referrals and completing timely, quality assessments
- Managing risk and making sound threshold decisions
- Section 47s, strategy discussions, and emergency protection where needed
- Liaising with schools, health, police, and internal services
- Holding CIN until handover or closure, with clear planning from the outset
- No management responsibilities with this role
- Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration
- Strong experience in front door/R&A work
- Confident decision-maker with a calm head under pressure
- Able to hit the ground running and support less experienced staff
- £39.04 per hour
- Paid mileage from office to visits
- 2–3 days per week in the office
- Supportive management and team culture
- Long-term locum contract
