– Ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities under the Children Act 1989, 2004 and associated legislation
– Oversee assessments, Section 47 enquiries, Child Protection Plans, and court work, maintaining high professional standards
– Chair complex multi-agency meetings and foster effective inter-agency collaboration
– Drive continuous improvement via reflective supervision and quality assurance
– Manage team resources and workloads while ensuring appropriate delegation and decision-making
– Collaborate with colleagues across Early Help, MASH, Looked After Children and other services
– Promote a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to social work
– Contribute actively to service planning, audits, inspections, and development of policies
