- Define and evolve the Kubernetes platform strategy across GCP and Azure: Lead the hosting squad in shaping the technical roadmap, including cross-cluster connectivity, service mesh integration, and multi-tenant platform evolution
- Drive cost optimization and platform efficiency: Collaborate with FinOps and platform teams to implement node pool optimization strategies (e.g., N2D/E2 migration), improve workload placement, and reduce cloud spend through smarter autoscaling and resource tuning
- Oversee the evolution of our products on multi-tenant hosting platform across GCP and Azure
- Shape architectural decisions related to Kubernetes, Service meshes, API, etc.
- Drive innovation initiatives, evaluating emerging technologies and integrating them into our roadmap
- Lead squad of developer tooling to ensure positive adoption of services across the board
- Observability strategy, including metrics, logging, tracing and alerting of our K8 environments
- Champion automation-first approaches to incident response, service recovery, and environment provisioning
- Collaborate with product and platform teams to embed hosting strategy and practices across the organisation
- Partner with Product, Security, Platform and wider stakeholders to ensure secure, optimised, and compliant architecture across K8 infrastructure
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to Lead Engineers and Platform Teams
- Deep understanding of cloud-native infrastructure, preferably GCP and Azure
- Strong architectural background in scalable systems, IaC and Kubernetes
- Experience building or leading multi-tenant platforms and enabling platform-as-a-product strategies
- Proven experience in managing high-performing engineering teams in global environments
- Strong communicator and influencer, able to drive alignment across squads, domains and senior stakeholders
- Strategic mindset with ability to define technical roadmap aligned to business priorities
