The role of Mechanical Fitter involves ensuring the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment and machinery within an engineering environment. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in mechanical systems within the industrial or manufacturing sectors.

Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment and machinery.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults to ensure minimal downtime.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment within the manufacturing environment.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Collaborate with the engineering team to optimise machinery efficiency.
Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order and report any issues promptly.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing duties.

Mon - Fri 7am-4pm30 days annual leaveA successful Mechanical Fitter should have:

Proven experience working with industrial machinery and equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Understanding of health and safety practices within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team or independently when required.
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
