
Motorsports Sportscar Program Supervisor - Europe

- Regional Representation & Relationship Management:
- Represent Ford Performance Motorsports at sports car events throughout the region.
- Develop and manage strong relationships with racing teams, series organizers, and key stakeholders to expand Ford Performance motorsports presence.
- Provide in-region program management support, including managing credentials and calendars, and supporting teams as needed.
- Trackside & Technical Support:
- Provide comprehensive at-track support for Ford Performance sports car racing programs, including Mustang GT3, Mustang GT4, and other future initiatives.
- Oversee trackside operations, vehicle updates, and general technical support.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives to ensure rapid resolution of technical issues, coordinating closely with Ford Performance Motorsports in Dearborn.
- Offer Systems Engineering Support for racing programs.
- Series Representation & Technical Working Group Engagement:
- Represent Ford Performance FIA Technical Working Groups (TWGs), and Series BoP and Homologation Meetings as required to support GT3 and GT4 European Programs.
- Gather and provide critical engineering input to help guide the development of future GT3 regulations.
- Understand, interpret, and disseminate regulation information pertaining to the GT3 and GT4 categories to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Support in-region series meetings and development efforts as required.
- Engineering Development & Analysis:
- Support engineering development and testing activities as required.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis, including End-of-Lap (EoL), Diagnostics, Timing & Scoring, and Balance of Performance (BoP) analysis.
- Reporting & Tool Development:
- Assist in the creation of detailed pre- and post-event metrics and reporting.
- Develop innovative tools and processes to enhance support for engineers, racing teams, and customers within sportscar programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a professional motorsports environment.
- Detail oriented self-starter and problem solver.
- Possess a competitive spirit and interest in professional motorsports.
- Possess a practical knowledge of race cars and sportscar competition.
- Strong leader with effective communication skills.
- Positive team player, ability to work with multiple suppliers, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with high responsibility.
- Flexibility and willingness for extensive travel, including weekends.
- Must hold or be eligible for a passport; International and Domestic travel will be required.
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- Vehicle development experience in vehicle dynamics or powertrain systems.
- Experience using logged data to improve track performance.
- Experience using Bosch Motorsport, Motec, Cosworth hardware and software.
- Experience setting up vehicle instrumentation.
- Knowledge and experience with GPIRS and Ariba/Aurora.
