- Partner with the business leadership team to surface value-add ideas, understand risks & opportunities, and rigorously challenge mitigation and action planning.
- Manage the long-range, in-year, and short-term planning process for revenue and costs, incorporating the latest information into a robust outlook and ensuring alignment with our corporate financial and strategic plans.
- Value-add analysis: In collaboration with the finance analysts and the data and analytics team, you'll turn insights into actions to identify value-add opportunities.
- Investment Appraisal: Lead the assessment of projects that redefine our store operations, driving cost efficiency and elevating our customer proposition.
- Own the month-end performance narrative, ensuring performance is understood and necessary future actions are in place.
- Working with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders, you'll help make complex financial concepts easily understood and actionable.
- You’re obsessed about the Asda Customer and can demonstrate an understanding of the customer across different channels & formats
- You’re proactive and curious – challenging the status quo and capable of driving change.
- You’re an excellent collaborator, able to communicate complex matters simply and effectively and build effective relationships to influence senior stakeholders
- You’re passionate about your own performance and Asda’s – willing to take ownership and be accountable for delivering your piece of the puzzle.

- You want to understand the business, the market and know what will make a difference commercially
- Relevant Profession level Finance or Business qualification preferred
