You will play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance, patient safety, management of investigational medical products (IMPs) and aseptic preparation.We are looking for a pharmacist with proven experience in clinical trials/aseptic services within a hospital settingAppointment as a Band 7 with progression to band 8a may be considered if all band 8a criteria are not met.Main duties of the jobSupport the Principal Pharmacist for clinical trials and aseptic services in the delivery of a comprehensive overall trials strategy and plan for the future of R&D at RWT in a manner that reflects the Trust, local and national NHS strategy and prioritiesProvide expert input into trial feasibility, protocol review and regulatory documentationCollaborate with multidisciplinary team to support trials setup, IMP management and protocol adherence.Act as an authorised pharmacist and provide pharmacist support to the pharmacy aseptic unitAbout usThe pharmacy department has strong education links with universities and we actively encourage staff development.   • Completed Year 1 of postgraduate Clinical Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

  • Additional postgraduate qualification in oncology/haematology or Aseptic or Clinical Trials Services
  • Independent prescribing qualification
  • Completed postgraduate Clinical Diploma or equivalent qualification

  • Post-registration experience working recently in an acute Trust setting
  • Experience of working as part of the Pharmacy team within the cancer / aseptic/clinical trials specialties
  • Ability to work on a ward environment with close contacts to patients
  • Ability to work in an aseptic environment

  • Experience of undertaking audits and participating in clinical research
  • Ability to adapt behaviour to changing circumstances and work under pressure
  • Experience of developing and implementing standard operating procedures
  • Experience in supervising, training and assessing staff
