Electrical Technician – Energy from WasteUp to £50,000 (DOE) plus benefitsKidderminsterMC Technical Recruitment are currently partnering with a leading Energy from Waste facility in the Kidderminster area who are looking to recruit an Electrical Technician to join their maintenance team.You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of electrical systems across a high-performing power plant. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone from a power generation, process, or industrial background looking to be part of a long-term, forward-thinking operation.As the Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on all electrical equipment
  • Diagnosing faults and repairing electrical systems, including HV/LV apparatus
  • Supporting with shutdown preparation, contractor supervision and calibration work
  • Maintaining electrical records through the site CMMS system
  • Working on days basis Mon-Fri
  • Participating in the on-call rota
  • Other duties as required
Requirements:
  • Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with electrical systems on power plants, process sites, or similar heavy industrial environments
  • Knowledge of HV/LV systems, CMMS, and safe systems of work
  • Able to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
  • Strong fault-finding, contractor supervision, and troubleshooting ability
What’s on offer:
  • £45,000 to £51,000 per annum, depending on experience
