Role Overview and Responsibilities:IntroductionWe are looking for a Wiring Harness Build Inspector to join our final inspection team within a busy production department. This role will be based at our site in Abercynon, South Wales. This is a Fixed Term role for a period of 12 months.About the Role
  • The Harness Build Inspectors primary function is to ensure that all products in build within the harness manufacturing area meet all specifications and all relevant documentation is completed.
  • Ensuring that the products meet customer requirements at each stage of its manufacturing process and where necessary report all non - conformities.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ability to learn and identify non - conforming product against current manufacturing standard and customer requirements.
  • Inspecting all components and assemblies at all stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Responsible for checking, progressing and collating accurate build and inspection records with supervision of current inspectors.
  • Ensuring all associated documentation is completed correctly and accurately (Batch follower/ works order cards), with supervision of current inspectors.
  • Alerting the Quality team/ Inspector/ Team Leader/ Production Engineer of ongoing and potential problems (Process and workmanship).
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:Qualifications and Experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous experience with wire cable/ wire harnessing assembly is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of IPC 620 and build specifications.
