
Rural Building Surveyor - up to Director

- Delivering professional building surveying services including building surveys, schedules of condition, dilapidations, and planned maintenance programmes.
- Managing contract administration, project monitoring, and procurement advice.
- Preparing tenders, specifications, and scheme designs.
- Advising on the conservation and preservation of historic buildings.
- Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 and building regulations.
- Acting as the first point of contact for clients, managing relationships with minimal oversight.
- Leading and mentoring others, contributing to service line development and technical standards.
- Keeping abreast of RICS guidelines and best practices in areas such as the Party Wall Act, project management, and reinstatement cost assessments.
- Develop and maintain key client relationships.
- Secure repeat business and identify new opportunities.
- Lead on high-profile projects and contribute to service innovation.
- Provide training and briefings on technical standards.
- Ensure service line standards reflect current legislation and guidance.
- Professionally qualified (MRICS, CIOB, RIBA, MCABE, CIAT or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of CDM and health & safety regulations.
- Financial awareness and cost management capability.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- CAD proficiency (desirable).
- Full UK driving licence.
