Do you have the empathy, resilience, and dedication to make a real difference in the lives of women and children seeking safety and support?We are seeking a Domestic Violence Refuge Worker to join our committed team in providing high-quality, trauma-informed support to residents of our refuge. This is a vital role in helping survivors rebuild their lives in a safe and empowering environment.Key Responsibilities:- Provide emotional and practical support to women and children living in the refuge.- Conduct risk assessments and develop safety and support plans tailored to individual needs.- Advocate on behalf of residents with external agencies including housing, legal, health, and social services.- Facilitate group sessions and activities that promote recovery, confidence, and independence.- Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and evaluation processes.- Ensure the refuge is a welcoming, safe, and supportive space for all residents.Essential Requirements:- Experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally within domestic abuse or safeguarding settings.- Strong understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and its impact on survivors.- Ability to work in a non-judgmental, empowering, and culturally sensitive manner.- Excellent communication, organizational, and crisis management skills.- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).We Offer:- A supportive team environment with regular supervision and training.- Opportunities for professional development.- A chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of survivors.To apply, please send your CV
