Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Senior/Staff Backend Engineer - MEV Infra - this is a fully remote role and candidates can be based anywhere.We are building the foundational infrastructure for MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) in a decentralised future. We’re on a mission to create a high-performance, transparent, and fair MEV ecosystem by innovating at the protocol layer and optimising for latency, efficiency, and resilience. Our team is composed of experts in distributed systems, low-latency networking, and blockchain architecture.The Role
We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior/Staff Backend Engineer passionate about solving complex problems and motivated to shape the MEV landscape on Monad with high-performance solutions. In this role, you will help design, build, and optimize MEV-related infrastructure, with a focus on block building, transaction ordering, and low-latency execution strategies etc. You’ll work on systems at the intersection of blockchain, trading, and networking, helping to advance the frontier of MEV innovation.What You’ll DoDesign and implement performance-critical backend systems for MEV infrastructure throughout the transaction lifecycle .Contribute to the development of infrastructure for validator-client integration, relay communication, and block propagation.Optimize code for latency, throughput, and reliability in adversarial network conditions.Stay informed about MEV developments in Ethereum, Solana, and other ecosystemsWhat We’re Looking For4-10 years of backend programming experience with expertise in low-level languages like C++ and Rust (experience in both is a plus, but not required).Proven backend engineering experience in MEV infrastructure, trading/searching, or block-building organizations.Experience designing production-grade, low-latency, high-performance networking architecture and distributed systems.Proven track record of technical leadership and project ownership from start to finish.Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, collaborative remote environment.Nice to HaveFamiliarity with blockchain internals and validator client behavior.Contributions to open-source MEV infra or tooling projects.Experience in performance tuning and networking stack optimization.HFT experience.Academic background from a top-tier university and/or experience at a well-regarded technology companyWhy Join UsWork at the frontier of crypto and DeFi infrastructureJoin a tight-knit, low-ego team with deep technical chopsCompetitive compensation, bonus and token upsideFully remote, flexible work culture
