
FLT Driver and Warehouse Operator

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Breaks: 1-hour lunch break, plus 2 x 20-minute paid breaks (morning & afternoon)Role Summary:The Warehouse Operator & FLT Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods within our warehouse facilities. The role involves using a variety of forklift trucks, including counterbalance, reach, and VNA (Very Narrow Aisle), and supporting the wider logistics and production operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Counterbalance, Reach, Electric, and VNA Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload containers and trailers in line with operational and safety standards.
- Move stock and raw materials throughout multiple warehouse facilities.
- Use handheld scanners to manage stock movements, including goods in/out and inventory checks.
- Navigate and work within 8-metre-high racking systems.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols in a chemical manufacturing and highly regulated environment.
- Support production areas by supplying raw materials and removing finished goods.
- Perform daily equipment checks and report any defects or concerns.
- Maintain clean and organised workspaces.
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (external preferred; in-house may be considered).
- VNA licence is highly advantageous.
- Previous experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment is essential.
- Experience working in chemical plants or highly regulated industries is required.
- Comfortable working with handheld stock control scanners.
- Good awareness of health and safety procedures, particularly within chemical operations.
- Ability to work at height (8-metre racking systems).
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties.
- Forklifts:
- 2 x Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) FLTs per warehouse
- 2 x Electric FLTs per warehouse
- 1 x Reach FLT per warehouse
