
Broking Team Leader – Schemes & Affinity Team

- Manage daily team operations, meeting service levels and compliance requirements
- Act as an escalation point for complex queries and provide clear guidance
- Oversee broking activities including renewals, MTAs, new business, and client servicing
- Collaborate with underwriting, compliance, claims, and finance teams
- Align team goals with wider business objectives and support strategic plans
- Monitor performance and implement process improvements
- Lead delivery of scheme solutions for clients from sole traders to large commercial accounts
- Coach and mentor team members to drive growth and accountability
- Maintain FCA compliance and promote regulatory awareness
- Review and streamline processes for efficiency
- Analyse performance data to inform improvements
- Travel between two offices will be required
- Experience with insurance broking platforms or CRM systems
- Proven background in a broking or insurance environment
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and insurance principles
- Ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
- Professional qualifications such as Cert CII (or working towards) advantageous
- Experience across both personal and commercial lines
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in broking systems and Microsoft Office
