- oDegree/or equivalent professional experience.
- oFull driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
- oFundraising qualification e.g. Chartered Institute of Fundraising Certificate or equivalent
- oExperience of managing/organising/promoting fundraising activities and identifying key targets that will attract support for the Charity (including events and challenges).
- oSignificant experience of working in a fundraising management role within the NHS, charity or public sector.
- oExperience of managing corporate relationships.
- oDemonstrable experience of donor or customer care with the ability to build relationships with people at all levels.
- oExperience of managing a range of fundraising/income generation streams to achieve targets.
- oExperience of managing or directing others to achieve an agreed goal.
- oExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- oExpert knowledge of charity regulations as set out by Charity Commission and the Fundraising Regulator.
- oGood knowledge of the local charitable sector and key players/competitors for funding.
- oExperience of marketing services/support and campaign management.
- oExperience of producing reports for presentation or for publication.
- oExperience of using a customer relationship, or donor management database.
- oExperience of working with volunteers.
- oExcellent organisational, administrative, planning and time management skills including record keeping.
- oDiplomacy, negotiating skills/abilities, presentation skills and well-developed social skills. The ability to influence and inspire others to give of their time, money and expertise.
- oFriendly and approachable with excellent interpersonal and team-working skills.
- oWell-developed IT skills/proficient in the use of the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
