This role is perfect for those passionate about helping young adults with additional needs develop life skills, independence, and confidence as they prepare for their future.Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as an Learning Support Assistant-Post 16 College, supporting students in both academic and vocational environments
  • Assist learners with autism, anxiety, and other learning differences in day-to-day college life
  • Encourage independence while providing personalised support aligned with EHCPs
  • Liaise with tutors and specialist staff to adjust support based on student needs
  • Help maintain a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for all learners
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Experience working as an Learning Support Assistant-Post 16 College or within a similar SEN/FE support role
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build consistent, supportive relationships
  • A patient, flexible, and proactive approach to young adult support
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education)
