We are looking for an exceptional Senior Surveyor to join our team, take charge of complex repairs, and lead a dedicated team of surveyors.Why This Role is Perfect for YouLead with Impact: As Senior Surveyor, you will manage a team of surveyors, driving performance, mentoring, and sharing your expertise to deliver exceptional service.Handle Complex Cases: Lead on complex repairs, disrepair claims, and damp & mould issues, from the initial report through to final resolution.Make a Difference: Work with a housing association that’s committed to improving customer satisfaction, ensuring that vulnerable tenants have their repair needs managed professionally and efficiently.Career Growth: This role provides an opportunity for growth, with ongoing development and training, as well as the chance to take the lead on high-profile cases.What You’ll Be DoingLeading and managing a team of surveyors, overseeing the assessment and delivery of repairs.Handling complex and high-priority repairs, including damp & mould issues and disrepair claims, ensuring they are resolved efficiently and professionally.Providing expert advice and guidance throughout the repair process, from initial reports to final resolution.Supporting your team’s development through mentoring and performance reviews, ensuring top-tier service delivery.Collaborating with contractors, consultants, and legal teams to resolve claims and building defects.What We’re Looking ForIdeally RICS Chartered Surveyor (or equivalent) with extensive experience in responsive repairs and building pathology.Proven leadership and team management experience – you’ll be leading a team to achieve operational excellence.A comprehensive understanding of damp & mould issues, disrepair claims, and building defects.A customer-focused approach, with the ability to handle challenging cases and provide expert solutions.Strong communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with both customers, inhouse delivery team and contractors.Experience using CRM, Housing Management and Contractor (desirable).The closing date for applications is Thursday 4th SeptemberWe welcome applications from all sections of the community.INDHIGHWe offer well maintained, affordable homes across East Staffordshire, South Derbyshire, and North West Leicestershire.Over 6,200 properties, ranging from sheltered accommodation to family homes and everything in between.We are driven to make a difference to people's lives and reduce homelessness in our region.
