Job Description:PC Gamer is the global authority on PC games. We've been covering PC gaming for more than 20 years, and continue that legacy today with worldwide print editions and around-the-clock news, features, esports coverage, hardware testing, and game reviews on pcgamer.com, as well as the annual PC Gaming Show at E3.We're now looking for a Video Producer to help lead PC Gamer's evolving short and long-form video coverage.What you'll be doing…As Video Producer at PC Gamer, you'll play a key role in the end-to-end creation, management, and delivery of a wide range of video content so an understanding of key video platforms like YouTube is a must, so too is a familiarity with social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok. The Presenter/Producer will work closely with the PC Gamer editorial team to help further grow its presence on video platforms, and drive revenue through the creation of editorial and commercial video.Ideally, you'll need to be able to take a project from concept to completion and be confident in all areas of the production process. Whether it's thinking up the next fantastic idea or planning out its execution, writing scripts, and assisting throughout the production process, a successful candidate will be able to single-handedly deliver unique and high-quality programming, or be willing to learn how to be. Knowledge of PC Gamer and PC gaming is a must, as is a passion for the subject and a good knowledge of core industry trends.Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…
  • Competence to be a “one-person-band,” with an eye for lighting and an ear for audio, as needed.
  • Thirst for producing multiple pieces in a day from ideation, execution/editing, posting, and social media distribution.
  • Post-production Adobe Premiere speed and dexterity that does not sacrifice quality.
  • Ability to follow established short-form templates/show-formats.
  • Proven track record in creating gaming content at a high-volume digital media outlet.
  • Experience taking longform articles and turning them into shootable short-form scripts, quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to shoot strategically and have the foresight to know how a video will all come together in post.
  • Flexible to work with a small team, or scaling up as a part of a larger crew, to contribute to all areas of video production.
  • Confident in front of camera and delivering voiceover.
  • Strong planning and organisation skills.
  • A diplomatic, can-do attitude that seeks to get the job done… on repeat.
