This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to take a leading role in projects that shape safer, more sustainable operations across the energy transition.What You'll Do:
- Lead and deliver a broad range of onshore process safety services, including hazard identification (HAZID/HAZOP), risk assessments, SIL/LOPA, ALARP demonstrations, and regulatory safety submissions
- Support clients in meeting legislative requirements (e.g. COMAH) and managing major accident hazards
- Develop and apply consequence modelling and quantitative risk assessments (QRA)
- Work closely with clients, regulators, and internal teams to solve complex process safety challenges
- Mentor and support junior engineers, and contribute to the growth and development of our onshore safety services
- Operate flexibly with options for hybrid working, but with travel as required for site visits or workshops
- Proven experience in process safety, particularly within energy, chemical, or related high-hazard industries
- Strong understanding of UK safety legislation and best practices (e.g. COMAH, DSEAR, HSE guidance)
- Skilled in techniques such as HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, fire/explosion modelling, and risk reduction justifications
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related STEM discipline
- Excellent communication and project management skills - able to lead discussions, prepare clear reports, and manage client relationships
