Optical Assistant

• Setting up and managing domiciliary clinics.
• Travelling across Kilmarnock, Ayr, Irvine, and coastal towns to visit patients at home.
• Some travel to the highlands for a stopover to conduct clinics will be required on a rota – every 6-7 weeks
• Dispensing eyewear to patients of all ages, including varifocals.
• Offering compassionate, tailored care for elderly and vulnerable patients.
• Working independently or as part of a split clinic with another OA.
• Handling an average of 4–12 dispenses per day.

• Experienced in dispensing across all prescription types.
• Organised, self-sufficient, and comfortable working alone.
• Confident driver with a clean licence.
• Acuitas system knowledge is beneficial.
• Caring, personable, and confident in dealing with a wide range of patients.

• Salary: £27,000
• Company Car
• Hours: Monday–Friday, no weekends, early finishes most days
