Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: APU, Chesterfield (Must Drive)
Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

This role is ideal for someone with experience in primary education who is ready to take the next step in their career and contribute meaningfully to pupil development.Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant (TA):
  • Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 under the guidance of class teachers.
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support, including for pupils with SEN.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to pupil assessment and progress tracking.
  • Collaborate with staff and participate in school-wide initiatives.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant (TA):
  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to support a broad range of curriculum areas.
  • Must have access to a vehicle and be willing to travel to Chesterfield.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with all gaps explained.
