Ampa are looking for an experienced SQL Developer to join the business on an initial 7-month contract to support the delivery and implementation of a new Azure-hosted technical solution that will transform how the internal debt recovery team operates in line with our product roadmap.What you will be doing:
  • Create, implement, and support reliable data integrations between our new debt solution, third parties, clients and internal systems
  • Ensure seamless data exchange, that automates vital business processes, supports regulatory requirements, and creates new possibilities for insightful reporting and process improvement.
  • This role is critical in making the most of the debt solution by ensuring it works as part of a unified digital environment, driving efficiency and organisational growth
Role Priorities
  • Understand the new solution, architecture design, project purpose and integration requirements
  • Undertake testing tasks within complex development projects to deliver a robust and scalable solution.
  • Participate in Agile Ceremonies
Key Accountabilities
  • Develop, test, and optimise SQL-based solutions
  • Collaborate with a team of developers, designers, and project managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Perform data analysis and ensure data quality by performing data validation and quality checks
  • Use DevOps for workload management and version control
  • Analyse performance and optimise solutions to ensure maximum efficiency and scalability
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot reporting-related issues
  • Create visualisations and reports for requested projects
  • Conduct unit testing/test-driven development processes and troubleshooting
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in SQL development
What you will need:A minimum of 5 years demonstrable track record of successful delivery of complex technical applications and services. You will need to have previous experience with the below tech stack:
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft SQL development, including Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS)/PowerBI, Azure (Data Factory, Data Lake etc)
  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL programming
  • Experience with SQL Server both on-premises and cloud-based
  • Experience with database schema design and implementation
  • Experience with Visual Studio
  • Strong knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools, such as SSIS
  • Experience in data preparation and data warehousing projects
  • Experience with web services and APIs
  • Experience with DevOps and version control systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of data modelling and data architecture
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
