
Senior Associate, Strategic Programmes

- Coordinate activities and objectives with cross functional teams to advance assigned initiatives to achieve desired compliance, quality, supply continuity, cost targets and business results
- Act as an exemplar of current best approach on project management / planning, including creation and management of key project management documentation through appropriate use of PPM tools and systems (Project Briefs, Project Plans, Gantt Charts, Success - Criteria, Risk Assessments, Budget, Resourcing, etc), in line with the operating model and PPM Charter.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical project paths; manage risk analysis and contingency planning on all assigned projects.
- Manage cross functional project activity across several functions including internal/ external resources and lead cross-functional teams serving as the gate holder of all project timelines; track project plans and milestones.
- Ensure all parties involved in delivering project are held accountable for completion of actions on time and to required standards and resolve any arising issues (with support as required)
- Establish, communicate and continually manage project expectations and progress with team members and key project stakeholders via meetings, presentations and monthly status reports.
- Ensure proactive timely escalation of key projects and issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Ensure budgets and cross-functional resources are identified, allocated and managed per project requirements
- Lead cross-functional alignment meetings to address specific project challenges/issues
- Prepare and present project status and risks to upper management
- Apply influence to better align other functions to agreement of overall business objectives.
- Resolve conflicts and build strong working relationships within the project teams.
- Use appropriate delegation/ influencing techniques as a vehicle to deliver project actions.
- Prepare and present project status updates in governance forums, including flags for project changes (changes to scope, risks, resourcing, schedule) and Stage Gates
- Support cross functional teams with portfolio planning, prioritisation and execution
- Ensure project data is accurately created and maintained in corporate project planning systemsThe experience we're looking for- Exceptional Project Management skills and Microsoft Project skills
- BS/BA/MS degree, ideally in a related science or engineering, Master's degree in business a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with product development within a FMCG environment, with a proven track record of delivery.
- Experience within Health or Medical Device industry is a plus.
- Experience of working with global project team is a plus
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or other professional project management qualification (or on-track) is a plus.
- Planning and organisational skills with good understanding of priority setting.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to provide feedback to team members with the goal of attaining common understanding, trust, and cooperation. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Strong interpersonal skills to nurture teamwork and foster an environment of achievement and motivation
- Ability to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility regarding changing priorities
